That's what I'm starting to think - the pill/restriction only serves to slow or dampen the actuation. Eventually the pressure will be there.

I was having boost spike around 16 lbs. so i fuond out i could drill out one of the pills a little to lowwer the boost. problem is i still have the spike of 16 lbs. under full throttle. i think i drilled the wrong pill. I used a 1/16 (.0625) drill. And yes i did remove some material. will this cause any problems. and what size hole do you think i should drill the right pill. i still have the stock fuel system but maintained. the motor and car have 30000 miles and dont want to blow it up.

Are you boosting to 16 psi, or spiking to 16psi? What are your mods? Stock ECU?

Drilling the pill in the wastegate line should help, but it may not get rid of your spike. I suggest a manual boost controller on the wastegate line to fine tune it.
