do you have any more pictures that are larger.. wallpaper
How did you fare against that 360 spyder and the NSX's? I would think you could hang with both of them. would love to see an FD beat up on a nearly $200k (if you can get one) Ferrari.
Hope you had fun it looks like it!

Great pictures! Looks like you had great weather and not very many cars -> lots of track time. Unfortunately I cound not make it this week, I'll have to wait until January 25th for NCRC's track day at Sears Point.
I was glad to see you were able to hang with the NSX's There will be plenty of "Hondas" there on the 25th - I hope I'll be able to beat-up on them... See you at the track!

I went today....Friday 01/03/03.
My best time are 2min20sec.
MY brakes are fading away and tires don't really grips, sliding all over, but no spins, almost spins once on turn 11, but recover gotta remember to shift before turns, or do it smoothly...
I cannot even hang with anybody...Don't know what you have to manage to hang with NSXs...They are fast....

I have r-compunds, they make a huge difference..
The NSXs I was hangin with posted ard 2.07 or so. FTD for one of them was 2.04. I dont think I was anywhere close to that.
Turn 11 is scary to lose it. I would never go in there fast..no point as I think if you are good, you can catch and pass on the straight... More bhp helps alot there...

Yea... I got street tires Yoko A520 rear and Dunlop SP8000 fronts.
Stock Brakes stuff.
Tokico Illumina and Eibach springs.
Stage1 BNR pegged to 10psi max.
stock ECU
91octane gas, later mix it 100octane, don't help on speed at all worst $25, I ever spent.
I can't catch up with anyone even 325is. I guess I need to learn to drive a lot better and have lots more courage.
Cossie, let me know if you go again, we got to go together... The event has no other RX-7, so no fun. I want to learn from other drivers...but with similar car.
Jon Wurth Z06 is fast, I rode with him, enjoy it totally, he turns in around 1.55 or so best time...

Sure...
I am going to Thunderhill on the 19th with Clubz.org
go to the website and look it up.
My car is specced
JIC Flt-A2, front and rear bacing beat sway bars Jic front strut bar.
PFS cold air, SMIC Downpipe, sports cat and JIC Ti exhuast. PowerFC tuned by OSdesign.
I would suggest getting good tires and brakes first.
I ran 10 psi all day with a bit of 100 octane from LagunaSeca. I filed up with 100 octance there. Full thank is about 60+ Then I decided to call it a day.
Which run group were you in?
Jon Wurth has the yellow ZO6?

There were 3 other NSXs in my run group.
1 is my buddy's. Midly modified with 290 bhp. has roll cage, AP brakes but running street tires.
2 is another almost stock with tire and shocks upgrade.
3 fully tuned by comptech. Supercharger, HRE wheels, and Brembo race brakes. Very nice car.
All of them ran road tires. Didnt run with the Supercharged one.

However, tires do make a huge difference.

yeap...oh ya...the guy with shaved 325is emblem(old school, I think late 80s or early 90s) is a first timer as well, he has uncle that drive all the way from SanDiego just to race..tsk tsk tsk.
I am on my second time, but my first time was a year ago at Thunderhill.
I got brake fade, went to see mechanic after track, he said the brake pads overheated, has white/orange(rust) mark on them, so that explaine why I brake a lot earlier...
Yea...i gotta do more...I need courage too, walls does not help me there....
So far I enjoy it, hoping to learn a lot more...
Cossie, Jon Wurth is the organizer, he ran silver with lots of stickers Z06. He has RX-7 as well, but he don't race them, he said that he could not get the suspension tuned right to his liking. I think he is a bit too big for the rx-7
According to him stock rx-7 with street tire and good brake pads should gets down to 2mins07secs. With race tires, it could go down to 1mins55secs++
And for 19th Jan, I cannot do it. I will be at Thunderhill on JAn 25th for BattleVersion Drift event.
I hope to learn to cope with oversteer at this drift event.
