Molding your kits ALWAYS result in cracks. I love the look, but I would never own a molded kit. The car looks real nice, did they paint your door jams and engine bay or rear hatch?

Your car looks great. Its good you didn't get those fenders molded. There is a guy from LI that has the mazdaspeed kit and insisted that his body guy mold his fenders and the paint cracked within a month. He then just had them redone w/out molding and wasted a bunch of money. It looked basically as good w/o being molded anyway. Everyone who is saying to mold them basically has no clue. Cars you see with molded parts are either just show cars or have to be redone practically every other day.

devoj67: Your just mad cause you can only boost 4.5lbs and b/c I beat you by 9.7 seconds raw time at the AutoX this past Sunday so who's the fruity a$$

highspeed101: That is basically what was told to me. I use this car heavily for racing duties AND I drive it on the street. I have also heard, that with new technology and all, that it has become possible to do it with good long term results. I'm going to check into it, but that will be on down the road, if ever.

jpandes: Thanks and I agree with your suggestion

hapa: They pulled everything off and painted it off of the car, the doors, hatch, glass, fenders, front, hood, flares, etc..it was just a shell of a car when they painted it. So yes, all of the jambs and uderside of the hatch and hood were painted. The only thing that was not painted was the engine bay, but since it was already black it was no problem with me. It looks right like this. What you said about cracking is what I have heard too

TpCpLaYa: Thanks and I have always wondered about the whole license plate thing too

rxshun7: basically what SupraJoe said. I have not been around a Silverstone RX-7 in a while. I really didn't compare the two. Most of the Silverstone 7's that I see don't have that great of paint on them. I knew from seeing several Arctic Silver Porsches that I absolutely love that color

Everyone else: Thank you very much for the compliments Like I said, the pictures really don't do the car justice. I have fallen in love with my FD all over again I have had her for just over 2 years and she keeps getting better with age.

here is a 'Before' pic

now try to fine a sideskirt and you're all set. I've always wonder if the GTC side would fit with that wide pettit fender with alittle help by a body shop.

very nice

DELTA_Rotary: he he... it's actually a well tuned reman with Petit ugpraded turbo's (check sig for more details)at about 12.5psi on 93 octane it makes more than 300whp I suprised my buddy with a T-66 Supra by keeping up with him alright on a couple of freeway runs, he was running 20lbs on pump gas. He had a T-63 and at 20lbs I stayed right with him I will be getting around to injectors, standalone, and then go single. I have a fuel pump on the way right now..

kelrx7r1: Thanks bro.. I have wondered if the car in the pic is yours??

Thumbs up You're the Man, bra'!

12's in the rear that looks hotter than that avatar of that chicks perfect ***

I wanted to do 11's in the rear but everyone said it couldn't be done (without cutting, rolling the rear). I was looking at the Racing Hart CP035R in 18x11 for the rears which could run 315's.

Please post more info

I had to have the rear fenders cut out for clearance. These 12's don't really stick out too much (I think I could actually squeeze 13's with these flares). 11's might fit without flares, you would have to cut the lip off of your rear fenders to do it tho.

Naw man. I paid $1200 for the color to be changed. Insurance paid almost $5000 for the whole car to be painted, body work, some parts, and a windshield.

The paint is a Basecoat/Clearcoat.

The Street spec wheels are 17"$450 18"$475 the Race spec wheels are $25 less. CCW does not charge any extra if you want them wider

Thanks again for everyone for all of the compliments. 12's on the rear just looks sick on an FD! I am really liking the looks of all of the changes including the East Bear lights
