I think your wrong. He said the car has been a project for over a year. The greenish color looks like phonebooks.

Hahah funny thing is the AST is a broken POS, I just patched it up with some freaking glue and tubes for a test run of the car to make sure evrything works properly. Even funnier thing is though, the radiator is a POS too becasue when I first took apart the car a year ago a lot of the plastic nipples were rotting...yeah I know odd, but true. So the nipple that leads to the AST blew last night afetr I patched it up a couple f days ago to give it a test try. No use in buyin 350 dollar koyo radiator when the car doesn't work. GLASS MAN, thank you for posting the pictures. I'll give a little history on the project now. We got the car off a salvage auction about a year ago for 6k. My family owns an auto body shop, so this is the usual way of buyin rides in this family. Anyways, It took the car 2 weeks to get here form ny after the auction eneded due to the black out last year. When it got here it wouldn't start. Fuel pump was fucked up. SO I got a new one. The car finally started. Bad newsthough, the car started but it was billowing blue smoke. Oil obviously. I have other pics older ones form when it first came, hopefully Glass man will post them for me later The car was originally grey and with an interior. I'm not one to really care about an interior much nor if the car is bling. I get enough of that low rider **** with our ****. Anyways. So when the smoek start billowin. I pulled the engine right out and decided to do a rebuild. Well actrually I pulled the turbos first cleaned them out, becasue I figured it was the turbos at first. Read all these posts with crappy turbos. To my surprise it was just a dirty turbo, it was actually fine no play at all. So I figured well **** it is the engine. I pulled it out. But this took a very long time seeing as how I wa sin my senior year of high school when this all started and I took on a bunch of AP classes to get soem early college cred. Anyways after we pulled the engine a lot of crap started happening. My father actually drove the car while it worked before i pulled everything. The old man freake dout hard core, said I couldn't have it I told to shove it up his *** and kept on working. So liek any paranoid father he started to hold me back on workin on it through out the year, giving me all sort sof excuses why my parts hadn't coem or why he wouldn't paint the fcker and what not, and then pieces start to go missing. This isn't a likely thing with me either. I keep absolutely everything in labeled zip lock bags. Anyways so I kept goin at it and at one poitn I will admit I got lazy as **** and stopped for a about a month or 2. (parties drug and alc, usual teenage bullshit everyoen goes through senior year) then I was like **** this time to get back to work. So I pulled the engine apart and started to clean it out. Then all the sudden my dad was liek **** the rebuild kit it costs 400 less then a new block we'll just get the short bloclk. I'm liek okay that'll save me time. All the sudden we order and a whiel later my father sdays the dealerhsip lost my Reman.....I was like what the **** how do you loose a 500lb BLCOK OF METAL? (Don't ask) We ordered through the dealer becasue we get dealer discounts of 20% so the block was only 2k total shippin and all. no ports nothing just a nice new reman. Or as new as they could get. so that thing took abotu 2 motnhs to find its ****** way to my shop. So during that time I was like I will work on other crap of course, my dad says no you have no time go work on your Work work in the shop. Yeah shows he used htis excuse a lot. So one day I again told him to **** him self. I started to to pull the entire interior. I scrapped all of the tar silencing material and everything. Threw away the rug. Stripped t all sanded it down and pushed it about 100 yars aroudn the buildin on my own whoile on a caffene rush, told my dad to **** him self again shoved the car into the spary booth and shot the inside with gloss black. After that thhe car started lookin beastly. When it was freshly painted i had never seen anything so amazingly black and demonic lookin in a car. The way that tranny casing looks when glossed up in black looks like a dragons back or something. Anyways. Okay =, then I start ordering hoses and clutches and lal the **** I need ot throw the car back together. Suprise suprise the RX7 store takes liek 3 ****** weeks to a motnh and a half to get **** to me all the time. So of course that tookl for ever to get here. Finally it go here took the block back home with everything to work on it there becasue it would be easier to do the rest at home. Once again my dad started ot freak out and saw that the car wa scomign together and refused to paint the damn thing. SO I told him to **** himself sanded the ****** down primered it and told him tot do what he was supposed to do. He did it finally. once he painted. He surpisngly brought it home an truck about a motnh ago or so. so istarted to piece everything back together then. interior and dash came first. So I stuck the dash in there and I was done secured the steering columb and started the engine bay. Soon after my I grabbed an engine hois from my dad;s mechnic friend. My friends helpped me slap the tranny and turbos on to the engine. and a coupel of day slater we were up all day and night running form true value and back buying olts and nuts. We had to buy 6 nuts to mount the motor mounts bcasue a reman comes with bolts that are just long enough to hold the oil pan, and I gave them mine with my old block...I was really suprise dbut whatever. By around 9pm we had finally gotten the damn thing in there! and since I've been tinkering with it putting the tranny back to gether and what not. and just lastnight I finally got it to start after messing around with the igniton system and a few wires. Now I have to figure out what is casuing the high rumbly idel of 1200 rpm....Hopefully the glas sman will post the earlier project pictures. I want to thankall of my friends (Mike,Paul, Cody, Derek)for the help. My mom especially for chewin my old man out left and right when tried ot pull his usuall BS. And my dad even though he was an *** hat most the time cuz he lovedme and doesn't want me dying, none of this would have been possible with out the old coook!

OK, I wasn't going to say anything until I read your family runs a bodyshop. What is up with blue paint on everything (strut bolts, wiring, etc) in the second pic of the first post?

I'd like to see a high res picture of that.

Yeah I got a little lazy when it came to painting the engine bay. I didnt cover up the bolts, I figured it would look beter if theywere blue. Also I will probably repaint parts of it since he did a half *** job paintin the bay. You can't see nwo but it looks pretty sketch in the bay. For the record I did use a lot fo my own money to build this thing. I'm in debt becasue of it actually. Damn credit cards!
