used sponge things to paint it on
i think there were only a few places of the matting left and it was a nasy mess to remove it, wasnt thick stuff or a lot so i just left it and painted over it :-)

i think 2 of the pint cans got me really close with 2 layers, but 3 will give you plenty with some to spare depending on how thick you put it on. the flat black looks really good.
Please finish your site, Damian. I'd love to see what you're running. And you don't have to weld the doors shut to compete wheel to wheel? How about use a fuel cell? Sorry I only know about dirt track regs, since that's all that is around my little podunk town in the middle of the cornfields in Illinois. May the 7 carry you to crushing rotary victory.
