I remember reading that you aren't supposed to use the factory stripping, it said some place on the hatch or insturctions, but that wouldn't cause it to crack. Must have been a difference in temp or something. :\

used sponge things to paint it on

i think there were only a few places of the matting left and it was a nasy mess to remove it, wasnt thick stuff or a lot so i just left it and painted over it :-)

heheh ur cage looks good to!!! ill proabbly be at VIR again in november too Fritz and some of the other guys that plan to go there again. Yo should try to make it, its the november audi club event.

i think 2 of the pint cans got me really close with 2 layers, but 3 will give you plenty with some to spare depending on how thick you put it on. the flat black looks really good.

Please finish your site, Damian. I'd love to see what you're running. And you don't have to weld the doors shut to compete wheel to wheel? How about use a fuel cell? Sorry I only know about dirt track regs, since that's all that is around my little podunk town in the middle of the cornfields in Illinois. May the 7 carry you to crushing rotary victory.
