yeah both sets of wheels alone with 3 sets of tires will put me close to $5100. The HKS coilovers are awesome; the car handles like it's on rails. I need to adjust the dampning though, the previouse owner set them to the stiffest setting. The roads here in Okinawa aren't the best in the world either.

Nice looking car. That crap on the dash looks awful!! Hope they didn't drill holes to mount that stuff.

although you got a great deal, and i'm very jealous of you living in japan... you need to ditch those wheels man! They look good, but they're only 7.5" wide, the stock FD wheels are 16x8! No sense to run skinnier wheels, even if they look good. Sell some of those extra parts you got and buy some 17x9.5 wheels all the way around with a +45 to +50 offset

but thats just my opinion good lookin car

That FD was jaw-droppingly clean right up until I saw the huge tach or whatever TF that is on the dash. The stance in the 2nd pic is just about perfect, IMO.

NICE car, & great price! Congrats.

Wow!! I haven't checked this post in a couple of days and already have 2 pages of replies. Sorry for the delay, I've been busy moving all my stuff into the house I just moved into.

Yes there is a climate control system in the car. All you have to do is press the auto button and set the desired temperature and the system adjust the temp for you automatically using the A/C. I have another OEM center climate control/radio bezel without the carbon fibre. I'll have to dig it out of one of many boxes of spare FD parts and take a picture of it.

Yes, unfortunately I had to leave my STi that I had just recently bought behind. It will be sitting cozy in a Long term vehicle storage facility for 3 years. The good thing though is she will be paid off by the time I get back and she'll have less than 10k miles on her! I plan to stockpile lots of aftermarket goodies while I'm here too.

As far as the tach goes; not my idea at all! However, it does make a great mounting spot for the boost controller, LOL! I'll be swapping the tach out with some more Defi gauges in the near future. I'm open for ideas for some mounting points for the boost controller as well.

I acquired an extra set of wheels when I bought the car. They are Volk TE37 18x8.5 +30 offset and 18x9.5+40 offset in the rear. Right now they're white, but there's a local wheel shop that will paint them a different color for $250. He did an awesome job on repairing and painting my friends SSR wheels. He has all the paint codes for every imaginable wheel too. I'm just having a hard time deciding on going with bronze, silver, or gunmetal. I need to mount them first to make sure I have plenty of clearance.

Here's a pic of the wheels and some of the extra parts I acquired with the car.

I just recently took off the crapy HKS intakes and put on the new Apexi intakes and I added the HKS bov since it was free and I was readily available lol! The Apexi ones sound really nice and the car pulls stronger too.

Sounds awesome man, so why are you over in Japan anyway? Military?

And about your STi, why wouldn't you just sell it right now and make most of your money back? Then when you get back to the states you could buy a new car with the saved money. If you plan it you could still stockpile parts while you're in Japan as long as you know what you plan to buy. But I'm sure you've thought about all this before, I just don't think I could pay monthly on a car I wont see for three years!

Sweet looking FD and that was an awesome deal!

Do you plan on selling the panel that surrounds the A/C controls and radio? If you sell the panel, I'll purchase it from you.

Here's the best pics I have right now. To be honest with you though, titanium is awesome, but if it ever gets damaged you'll have to find someone with a titanium welder and that can be pretty pricey. I have unfortunately trashed this exhaust by driving over one of the speed bumps with one way security spikes. The car when I bought it was sitting too low and to prevent ripping off my front lip while driving over the speed bump, I took it at an angle and then straightened out the car. The front part of the muffler caught on one of the spikes hard enough to rip a nice hole in it as well as bend and crack one of the titanium flanges. As tough as titanium seemed to be at the time actually lost to the security spikes. I just ordered the cheaper HKS hi-power replacement instead. I will hang on to the titanium until I can find some one that can repair it.

As far as price, the previouse owner bought it at a local parts shop for $850 just for the catback. JIC bullet 505S Ti Series Full Titanium is the exact name. Here's a link http://www.jic-magic.com/productsjic_bullet_505s.htm

BTW--I just left Panama city, and I remember seeing your car at Starbucks a couple of nights. I usually hung out with a guy named Jesse who drives a pretty hooked up blue WRX and the other STi guys.

stokedxiv-yeah I'm in the Air Force and got lucky with an assignment. I was back and forth with the idea of selling it my STi or keeping it. After weighting all the positives and negatives, keeping the car was my best option. I did drop quite a bit into it already and realized I wouldn't get jack trying to part it out compared to what I paid for the parts. Thats the name of the game with modifieing cars. I didn't want to part it out considering it would have been a big hassle too. One of the bigger issues would have been to mail off my ecu back to the guy that spent over 5 hours of tweaking to get every curve just right to flash it back to stock. I did trade in my WRX and had to finance some negative equity I still had on it. So I would have been paying on a decent sized signature loan instead if I sold the car. Trust me it was hard choice to make, but i can sleep easy at night now knowing I made a good decision. Saving up for a new car when I get back to the states and being tempted to spend the money or having a montly car payment that I can't touch.

Well I just found out that the second climate control/radio bezel is the standard one. It does not have the automatic climate control like I thought it did. Sorry
