I sincerely hope that is not my "unofficial" title around here.....I spend hours every week on here helping people out and enjoying reading posts by knowledgable owners. I do, however, have little to no tolerance for people cheaping out and tend to not hesitate to speak my mind about it. I also have little to no tolerance for people that are too lazy to spend five fricking minutes searching before they post some inane redundant thread. I doubt I've started more than 50 threads here in over 3-1/2 years...

I also rarely post in these look-at-me threads where I think the owner has bad taste. Everybody has their own opinion of what looks good or not, even if a lot of people are wrong. But the installation of bright red and black floor mats that say "racing" on them, from Pep Boys, was more than I could take...

 

I for one appreciate your honesty on this forum and that's why I give you this credit. I meant it in a good way. Many times you get there before I can say anything, and all I can do is dido quotation marks. Please don't think I was talking **** about you. I got much respect for you and anyone that has ever helped me on here. Just didn't want to stand alone when I was fighting the engine swap newbies, I knew you could back me up on some of this stuff. Consider me a teammate. Cool.

 

WTF................Get rig of the seats, floor mats, steering wheel cover, shift ****, shift boot, E-brake boot, and seat belt pads and you got your self a nice car.

 

seats are ok i guess..def get some new mats and take off the steering wheel cover..i rather it show some wear and tear than to have that..and if you were gonna buy mats, you should have bought some real rx7 mats online. they go for like 80 bucks..

 

Don't worry about all the ricer comments. People on the forum love to jump on the hate bandwagon on stuff like this. All just because you got a couple things from Pep Boys. Anyways your interior reminds me of the Rx8's interior. Nice job with the seats.

May I suggest if the car is fixed and running top notch,,,,,instead of sitting here on the forum, get out there and drie the thing......that;s the only way something is going to break and then you can come on here and figure out how to fix it. Hooligan 15

everythings looks good to me.. like you said.. you're happy with it and that all that really matters.

 

keep the floormats, that way next time you see one of these guys walking out of ******** R' Us you can beat the **** out of them with it.....vent. I like how everything matches nicely, good work.

 

I would be if I wasn't at work. Yeah just create more problems. thats one way to go.

 

I haven't figured out how they do it (the car) but these things will break even if you don't drive them. Go figure ! ! ! LOL Must be nice to screw around on here while your at work.

 

eh gotta be honest i dont like it...how can u even stand the wheel cover? i hate the feel of those things!

 

its not THAT bad. but the floor mats seems too agressive and you gotta take the steering wheel cover off, it looks cheap.

 

You know, I actually prefer how the steering wheel cover feels versus the stock trim. And I don't mind when you guys tell me you don't like my interior. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk or anything like that. If you can't deal with critics you shouldn't be on this forum period. I was going for something different and on a buget for now and I personally like how it looks, and at the end of the day thats all that really matters.

yeah, everybody got their own taste. i do like the red and black interior though.

 

looks ugly to some people...looks good to some people
to a guy who likes single color interior...red/black is too much for me

 

I like people that can take some criticism and not get pissed. Way to stand up for yourself. Can't please everyone. why try? you wanted to know what people had to say and you found out. done deal.
