Cool Pics of my car's new interior

Here are some new pics of my car's interior. The seats took about 4 days part time to fabricate and install using the origional FD brackets. The seats don't rub the door when it closed but when they are fully slid back they rub the top of the car creating an annoying sqeak, but if you slide the seat up about an inch it isn't a problem anymore. I had to loose the reclining **** in order for them to fit, thats what you get when you buy seats without looking at the dimensions first, but I put them in a comfortable position so it isn't a big deal.

I purchased the shift and e-brake boots from Redline and they look great and were an easy install. The floot mats, steering wheel cover, and seatbelt shoulder pads were all purchased from my local Pep Boys and suprisingly they fit great.

Most of the people I ran into liked my set-up, the only complaint was that there is too much red going on, but that was the plan from the begining. Let me know what you guys think.

The whole set up kindda reminds me of an RX8

first, I like the seats, the fittment looks a little stuffed. that would bother me. On the other hand, why did you "rice" out the floor mats, and steering wheel cover, BTW that steering cover needs to go. The Red is a little over the top, but the "rice" got to go. Overall it is very clean but just needs better quality accessories. the whole "type R" logos are not made for this car and make it look ghetto. my .02

Haha, thats only a temp job. My wheel was pealing so I wanted something to cover it until I can find a decent wheel from a protege or something. The floor mats were a last minute decision, mine were worn to hell and I wanted to stick with the red/black pattern.

I'll address the seats too, I paid only $300 for the racing seats and re-upholstering the old ones is something like $500 if I am not mistaken, plus my foam was quite worn out from the previous owners so I took the liberty of changing them.

the seats I can understand, its just that you were asking us if we liked it, like you were completed with it and proud. You should look for a Nardi Competition steering wheel, real ****! those mats I hope you have your receipt. Get some rx7 mats, they are not that much. Even the knock offs are nicer than those. He's right, no pep boys ****, it is shitty quality and looks terrible.

I might be thinking of another one, but isn't that wheel a bit expensive?

And as expected, I knew what I liked definetly wouldn't suit everyone. I did get a laugh when a true ricer who lives near me thought the floor mats were made for my car because it had a "R" on it.

Look on the bright side, at least I didn't put a LS1 in my car

You guys in the higher elevation really need to lighten. I know the air's thin up there but damn ! ! ! ! Remember $.02 comes in different currency's and the dollar aint what it used to be. These's cars are not that common but most of the things people do to them are (small family circle) most of us don't shop at pep boys for anything other than oil, filters or batteries, perhaps we should look around. LOL I guess I'm gonna have to come up to the get together you guys are hving in Colorado. i have white wheels on my car and have caught hell for it ever since they went on.

I need a vacation. Yeah the air is pretty thin, I guess I have been watching too much news lately. Stressful times in america right now, and putting type R stuff on the fd is the last straw. j/k. I know I am being over critical, but I am running for Rynberg's position on the forum. Master Flamer!! How am I doing?

p.s. - not my fault, easy targets.

Not too bad, but the pep-boys thing has to go I refuse to put AR racing on my car, but I do think your car is very clean looking. It looks nice imo, except for the floor mats! If you like it tho, go for it! But your car is very clean, and thats very respectable!

I guess since I fixed my FD, I don't have much to do. That's the only problem with getting the car fixed, you end up with a lot of time on your hands. the bad part is I am browsing the forum, instead of researching a specific problem and am getting bored. I guess that's why I am being so sensitive. Please help, my name is Jason and I am an FD-a-holic.

yeah his car is clean and done up nice, that's why he should finish it off right. The Nardi was average price for that type of steering wheel. I think I paid 240.00. Its nice cause it is a litlle smaller diameter than stock, but doesn't look all tiny and ****. It is one of the nicest additions to my whole cockpit. Damn satisfied.
