The entire car was taken down to metal, primed, and coated 4 times. I used to have a few dings here and there. This pic was actually taken with the car pretty dirty. This hood was a replica mazdaspeed hood. I don't recommend buying that to anyone. I have since replaced it with a real one. I thought I'd be cheap and save $500 by going with the copy and ended up losing a bundle because I couldn't deal with the waves.

rims are comming...it took the guy who did my paint practically the entire summer. I only had the car on the road for 1 month before the winter hibernation so I figured I'd just wait till the spring. Any advice on what rims you guys think would look nice with this setup...I'd like to get a set that is pretty light weight. also 17 x at least 9 in the rear. thanx

I like the hood, and the front facia, but I'm personally not big on spoiling the lines of the FD. However, I do think that it is very nicely done, and I am sure many find it preferable to the OEM lines. I do appreciate the fact that it is unique.

nice man. unique setup. never seen the Mazdaspeed fenders with the KS front bumpers. looks pretty nice...although the Masdaspeed fenders aren't really my cup-o-tea.

JoeD, thanks, I was really trying to do a set up no one else had.
TTteddy, Thanks but I think I am going to stick with the 17s. I've had 18s before and I really am not a fan of the rough ride that comes along with them. I have a touring and that even is rough enough for me. Plus the fact that 18s weigh more, plus they slow the car down just due to the size of the wheel. I had a pretty well worked gt probe before my 7 and when I took the 18s off it, the accelleration difference was night and day. I do however, have a buddy who has some incredible looking 18s on his 7 that cost 4k. I am not sure of the name of them but I might just have to offer him like 2 for them. They came with his car so he might do it.

when you have 350rwhp who cares about light weight =D

jk

17's is actually the best performance wise for the RX-7 anyway.

id usually say go with 17's, but im gonna have to agree with ttteddy on this one.

why spend money on a wide body kit and only go with 17x 9? itll look soo much better with 18x10(at least) in the rear. im sure you could even squeeze an 18x11.

The hood I have on in this picture is a replica mazdaspeed...I got it through the group buy set up by chuck like 7 or 8 months ago. I don't know who made it. The one I have now looks the same but is just slightly higher quality. About the rims...Is there a such thing as 17 x 10 or 11. Just wondering?
I was also wondering if you guys think the re sleek lights would look good with this. I love those lights but I am worried that it would be "just to much" with all the fog lights, the headlights, and blinkers. It might look like i have 8 foglights all over my car. I've seen them with the knightsport front bumper before, but the guy only had two fogs in the bumper. It looked hot though.
