was the car originally black? it looks nice and 'glossily' [my own word] painted.

looks good. you can go buy a cap for a 57 chevy, it is the same one. many parts stores have them....

was it hard to put the throttle body back together after having it polished. bit scared to pull mine apart.

It is not as hard as you would think to remove and replace the uim, and throttle body.

Looks great!

The throttle body is not that hard to remove however you want to make sure you don't break the seal that connects it to the UIM. Just be careful and remember how it goes back together.

Pettit ASTs take standard caps available at track auto. "Stanton" is the brand i believe.

I charged him $300 to do both and It took me a week to turn it around.
I'm not set up to just shoot these things out so It takes me a while to do it. I'm not the cheapest but I do good work.

Rikki do you still have the close up pics we took of Robs UIM on the 4th of July before I shipped them back? If so could you get Danny to post them here.
Rob the bay is looking good. Thanks again forthe wing. It's being painted w/ the car right now. I should have my car back in 2 days.
