Photoshopped VR FD w/ Black PC wheels
Work's slow today so here's how I spent my time.
I'm debating whether or not to go with Black wheels on my Red R1. I thought with the stock suspension and no refrence points (other cars or people) this FD looked too much like a 3000GT So I dropped it (too much in front because of the angle the pic was taken) to give it a more agressive stance and tinted the windows to remove some of the contrast of the wheels. I'm now confident this is what I want to do.

Way too low. Don't you want to be able to at least turn the wheel? I personally dislike the black wheel look on a red car. Maybe if it had a machined lip. Why don't you go with the old JDM look and get a black wheel with a red lip. Circa 1992 baby. Also, tint the windows darker.

I vertically dropped the car straight down... with the pic being take at an angle the front looks ALOT lower than it should. Any darker tint looked too fake. I need to work on my photoshop skills a bit. or be more patient (that was like a 10 min. job)

There is a guy here in cincy i see quite often that has a Red FD with powder coated black wheels. It looks pretty good. I like black on black better but the red looks nice.

nope. I raised the back up a bit then rotated it so that it followed the angle of the road so that the drop was even also overall the drop isn't as drastic (take a look at how much of the front wheel is showing) I also added a darker tint to the window.

I dont like the way those black rims look, by the way the way the car is dropped(photochopped) in that picture is way off, my bumper sits down as low as the bumper on that car, and is ~1.25-1.5 inches off of the ground, and my stock wheels are not nearly tucked as much as those,

very very nice but...
The more I think about it, black on black is too much. I think black on bronze tops it. Red with black or bronze wheels looks good too. I like this:
