just look at the pics. . . put the new boost sensor where the old one was. hook the old one up to the supplied harness that plugs into it (obvious), then plug it into the power fc. a lot of the rest depends on whether you are sequential or not. i cant remember the exact configuration on the solenoid, but i believe its different for sequential and non. i.e. the nipples on the solenoid for my single turbo setup are running inline. i believe you set them up differently for sequential. that much is easy to figure out using the pictures in the manual.

after you hook the map sensors and solenoid up you need to run vaccum lines to them. the solenoid gets air from the intake somewhere, intercepting the vaccum line between the intake and the wastegate. so it goes from the intake to the solenoid to the wastegate.

now, go into the power fc to PIM settings i believe. . . cant remember exactly. theres a table where you choose from a list like this:

normal
option 1
option 2
option 3
option 4
option 5 . . . or something

switch from normal to option 1. . . thats it. if you are going single make sure you switch up the sequential setting.

I already have it set up just like you said with the boost sensor and Option one... The manual's pictures aren't definitive for the solenoid set up. That's what I need help on... Right now I've got the stock twins on there with an opened up intake and exhaust.

I have the Japanese manual... I already have it set up and it isn't controlling boost because there are a couple of conflicting diagrams in the Japanese manual. I don't know which to use because I can't read Japanese. I probably have it set up incorrectly. If I had English directions I could set it up correctly and not blow my engine up. So if anyone out there has the English Directions for the Power FC Boost control Kit I would really appreciate them. After I get them I can post how I set mine up after it is finally running properly.

Any help you can give me would definately be appreciated.

I know that there are English directions though because I called each of the power excel shops that are listed on:

http://www.apexi-usa.com

These are the only "official" APEXI POWER FC dealers in the US. But they will not just sell you the English directions by themselves. You have to actually buy the product itself from them. They totally overcharge for it and they have a monopoly on it here. It sucks because the closest shop to me is in Texas and I'm in Florida so I can't stop by and talk someone into it face to face. I would have bought the POWER FC from them but the price was insane compared to what you can get it for from a Japanese dealer.

So again, if you can help I'd really appreciate it. Also if anyone else does have the directions in English please scan and post for those in need on this site or provide link to it. Thanks again. I'm more than willing to pay someone for a copy of the directions. I'd pay $30 plus shipping for a photocopy of the English directions (I think that's fair... if not let me know if it isn't)

Thanks again.

Mike

Okay... I did the search... I already have English instructions for the POWER FC itself... Also for the Commander and also for the AVC-R (which I heard was an identical set up to the POWER FC Boost Control Kit as far as the solenoid itself is concerned! But apparently that's not the case since I tried that and it didn't work!). But what I don't have and what I need are the ENGLISH DIRECTIONS for the POWER FC BOOST CONTROL KIT!!!!! So please, if you've got them... please post them... If you've got them and want to make a little money for them let me know and I'll buy them from you and then I'll post them along with detailed instructions in the POWER FC forum on how I made it work! Or if you want to explain to me what I need to do to set it up properly then let me know how. BUT If you don't have any helpful instruction then please don't post anything here! I'm not trying to be a dick but posts that tell me to "do a search" when I've already done a search with negative results (when clearly the individual who advised the search didn't do one) gets a little tiresome after a while. If I'm wrong and I searched for the wrong thing or in the wrong place then I'm sorry about this outburst and please post the link for me to click on because I'm obviously too stupid to find it myself!
Thanks
Mike

Okay, I was under the hood today plugging in a new greddy pulley kit, changing out belts and taking out my air pump. I messed with how I had the boost control kit set up too! Here's how it is currently set up. This may come out jumbled so please stick with me. I will do my best to be clear. Please tell me if I have it set up incorrectly.

1) The COM port is plugged into (The top of) both actuators (I used the tee fitting that came with the kit to do this).

2) The NO port is open to the atmosphere. Well... not really... I put the little restrictor screw in the NO port.

3) The NC port is plugged into one of the nipples that (the tops of) the actuators used to be plugged into and I plugged the other nipple up.

***NOTE*** Now... there is another port on each these actuators. If you are standing in front of the car facing the windshield... these other ports come out toward the drivers side of the car.

4) Before today I had both ports plugged up and I also plugged up the nipples that those hoses originally went into. As per the AVC-R instructions (I think).

5) Today, I plugged those ports (The ports described in the above "***NOTE***") into the nipples they were originally (in stock form) plugged into (like it was when it was stock).

The RESULT: No change... Still running about 4 pounds boost max...

Baffled... Is everything plugged in correctly? If I confused you and you know how to plumb the solenoid in... please give me a ring! 904 234 3008
Thanks fellas... sorry for the long post!

Okay, Here's a new twist...
I thought that I might have hooked up the harnesses incorrectly...

First I had the solenoid plugged into the harness without the white mark while the white marked harness remained plugged in normally.... this yielded 3 to 4 pounds of boost

then I plugged the solenoid into the harness with white mark and replugged the unmarked harness as it was stock... this yielded 3 to 4 pounds of boost

then I unplugged the unmarked harness altogether while the solenoid remained plugged into the white marked harness... this yielded 3 to 4 pounds of boost

then I plugged the solenoid into the unmarked harness and left the white marked harness unplugged... this yielded 3 to 4 pounds of boost.

Obviously, the boost isn't being affected at all... any thoughts?

So now I'm thinking that perhaps I rigged the hoses to the solenoid incorrectly... or maybe the POWER FC is bad.

WTF, Some one please help!!!
Thanks.
Mike

There are all kinds of free or professional services online like Worldlingo.com.

http://www.worldlingo.com
http://www.worldlingo.com/products_s...anslation.html

or maybe ask someone on a Japanese RX7 forum...

Or you could try scanning the document, downloading Japanese characters, then try to do it by cut-and-paste.

http://www.worldlingo.com/products_s...ranslator.html

Or ...here's someone on ebay selling JDM parts who looks to be located in OKINAWA Japan... Maybe he will do it for $30.

Anyways....where did you purchase your boost control kit?

With the boost control kit, you don't need a separate boost controller I gather, right? Would there be any downside to using this instead of a standalone boost controller?
