Pettit Unlimited + SAFC NEO ... poor man`s PFC?

After reading for quiet some time about both items . .. i was simply wondering if anyone managed to "mate" both of these to correct fuel delivery with the aid of a DYNO or an acurate EGT+Wideband Combo

The Pettit Unlimited is Mapped for 1Bar+ ( timing and fuel ) ... but generally from what i understand runs a tad rich at ~ 13Psi on stock fuel system

I have as mods :
Upgraded Inter cooler +Piping ( equivalent to an M2 Medium )
3" Exhaust , full , with high flow cat + 3" Exhaust
Open intake
2 manual boost controllers
fuel pump hot wired to battery on stage 2

I have a neo sitting around from my past life in teh.. piston engines .... and would like to try to jimmy-Mcguiver soemthing

any thoughts from the wize FD croud?

bad idea. the SAFC alters the pressure sensor signal and will thus indirectly affect your timing. When you "lean out" an SAFC on a MAP-based vehicle, you are tricking the ECU into thinking you are under less boost. Less boost = more timing. Plus it has no control over injector staging, injector lag/latency/deadtime, and other stuff like that. i mean you might be able to make it work but it's not worth risking the motor.

^ im trying to figure that out as well , but so far i came to the conclusion that .. it does not , .. the safc by ";lying"to the ecu about MAP readings .. forces to ecu to look elsewhere on the timing map providing to o much advance so it`s dangerous ...

i mean it would be possible to run an e-manage, which can intercept timing signals, but at that level of complexity you should just get a standalone

train wreck waiting to happen, i don't even like re-mapped ECUs let alone a piggy back on an aftermarket ECU.

I would think that a used PFC is a poor man's PFC. It's one of the cheaper standalone ECU's out there in the first place.

I think your remapped ECU is the best bet. There is a TON of money in R&D from Mazda on the firmware. I know Cam and his guys modify the fuel & ignition map but you can not beat the OEM calibration on a larger scale... tons of guys in white jackets with engine dynos and millions of dollars to make it right for the cars parameters.

the pfc is junk anyhow - limited ecu;
