10,000 miles on a streetport from them, with much abuse by me and it still is'nt broke. Prices reasonable, service excellent. Also read much good stuff about Kevin @ rotaryresurection and very reasonable prices.

I've only got their AST. Pressure Cap on it went bad after about a year. New one cost me a couple bucks, but the coolant problem made me nervous.

I've been to Pettit racing and they've been the most helpful shop i've ever dealt with for any type of car. I have their Cool Charge II, Intake, and AST. I'm extremely pleased with their service and original parts.

If you're asking about how much power i'm pushing i don't have a answer. I'm just trying too keep the car reliable and give it a few extra ponies.

Haven't ordered any parts from them yet, but i stopped by their shop while i was in Florida. They were busy, but they took time out of their day to show me around the shop and their project cars. I would say they are definitely a customer friendly shop.

It also helps to know that Pettit's FD sold for $52,000 at a Barrett-Jackson Auction

Thumbs up

I've bought a bunch of stuff from them. Great experience every single time. I bought:

DP
High Flow Cat
Racing Beat Cat Back
Boost Guage
Boost Hose Upgrade Kit
Magnecore Wires
NGK Plugs
TKT Cold Air Intake
Protec R
engine ground kit
a few gaskets
probably some other stuff I can't remember

You might find a few things in other places for a couple dollars less but I am ALWAYS confident that when I shop with them I am getting top notch stuff. When you call to order you will talk to Jeff Salsibury. He sounds a little 'out there' when you start talking to him but then you'll realize he is really knowledgeable. I kept giving them my business because Jeff would spend (literally) as much time as I needed on the phone with me when I was a total noob and knew nothing about the car. He guided me through some installs and spent close to 30 minutes on the phone with me a few times walking me through what was new territory for me. Shop with confidence.

I've bought alot of stuff from them over the years including the shortie 5th gear. I also visited them a few years ago and will say that they are great people. Cam must have spent an hour showing me his shop, their three rotor conversions, and even a cool single rotor turbo he just put together. I cannot image how many three rotors must be driving around the usa with as many conversions as they always seem to have going together in their shop.

Tom, Jim and I here in Gainesville are all pretty much Pettit cars. We all have the DP, I have the resonated mid, Tom and I have the cool charge II IC's, Jim and Tom have the AST, Tom has a mild street ported motor and large bore TB, TOM and I have the rechipped ECU, I have Pettits under drive pulley for the alternator, Jim and I have a set of the billit control *****, Tom Jim and I have the intake system. Tom and I have the TKT black floor mats. I think thats about it. Tom has used Pettit for troubleshooting problems and has always had excellant response from Cam. He's always been quite helpful to anyone with problems when he attends events. Very knowledgeable and quite helpful.

If you are asking about the Pettit Racing Big Brake kit, the picture on their site showing the kit is a local friend of mine's car. It's a great kit if you are running the car on the track a lot. Otherwise, it's a waste of money.

If you track that much, I would expect some different types of questions coming from you...

The main benefit to the Pettit brake kit is that it fits with the stock 16" rims. If you aren't going to be using the stock rims, there are other kits available.

Once again, these are questions and statements I wouldn't expect from someone who owns so many cars and tracks one or more of them so often.

1. Big brake kits don't offer more stopping power. The stock brakes are plenty to bring the car to the braking threshold.

2. If you are experiencing fade, it may be something as simple as a better pad, or better brake fluid. Many owners (including me) track the FD just fine with stock brakes but with track specific pads (even with r-compound).

It seems you might want to do more searches about tracking the FD as there are many threads in this section, and in the Suspension/Tire/Brakes section as well, with a lot of information.

Rixio,

Uh, why are you using some kind of VOIP solution?? Voipstunt offers free calls to the USA (landline & mobile) http://www.voipstunt.com/

Or Skype-Out (www.skype.com) rates to the USA landline and mobile are less that .05 euro's per min.

Just to stay on topic, Pettit Racing has quality products and service. Took my FD there after buying for a Silicone Hose Job, AST, and boost gauge. Did an excellent job and fix a few other issues for free.

Would not hesitate to do business with them.

does great work, but cannot troubleshoot for ****... Take it to him with a problem and he can fix it, take it to him with a concern/symptom and you will be lucky to recieve a diagnosis.
