OKay so i just put in my launch kit from pettit racing and the end with the T top has a screw end to it to allow the piece to be longer or shorter, correct me if i'm wrong. ... anyways I made it the exact same length as the stock one. is this correct for me to do?

What is the point in making the arm so it can be longer or shorter? why didn't they make it a solid piece? like the stock one, minus the rubber gasket....?
