pettit high flow turbos on partstrader

Anyone know anything about the pettit high flow turbos. They are for sale for a pretty good price and I was wondering if they are any good. I am looking for an upgrade over my stock twins but don't really like a lot of lag.

That looks like a pretty decent price considering they are brand new. I guess I'd recommend gettin em.

I bought a used set recently. I have a few boost control issues to work out but the power is good and i think they are worth the money.

how much did you pay for yours used? how many miles? I am just trying to judge what I should offer this guy. I already offered 1500 and he said that was a little low.

upgrade...

if you want the upgrade...get them m2s...otherwise it isnt really much of an upgrade other than they are coated with trimmed wheels....I think you will actually have more lag with the upgrade set...I havent used them but that is what it says on www.scuderiaciriani.com I believe. there is a good rightup on turbo upgrades on that site..take a look.

Mine were a definate upgrade. I could tell right away by the seat of the pants. I would say they easily added 25whp. They seem to spool up just as quick if not quicker than the stockers I had. They also seem to pull much harder on the top end.

I bought mine second hand with a cracked manifold for like $240 shipped. I got a hold of a good manifold for $175 and then I was in business. I would not pay $1,500 for a used set tho. If I was going to spend that much, I would go with the M2 ball bearings or a single turbo kit.

just my .02

I have a set of SR upgraded twins that I have yet to put on. Between my wife's speeding tickets, fender bender, and now house upgrades, my car upgrades have come to a halt faster than an FD with 13 inch rotors and hawk hp's. If you want them, 1500 is too much, how about 1200. Never installed, and you can call and ask Ray about them. He sold them to me Tim Benton, along with the PFC and 1300 injectors back around late summer.

Playing the market Tell me to hold them for 2 weeks while you wait for an answer from the warranty company and I'll do it.

The post above was intended for Red95T-rex (kevin) who might buy my turbos but hasn't said yes or no since he doesn't know if they will pay for it first. Just wanted him to know since he'll have first shot at them.

I think they are a decent upgrade over stock. i had the XS TO4E and to be honest I think these are almost equal in power but much more quite plus they are legal, at least in the sense that you can keep the smog pump etc.. I had considered the M2 twins but then I read all the problems people were having with them and decided on these and I am happy.
The only draw back I can think of is that if you are having a problem with the sequential control system, it will still be there, where as if you went single you get to eliminate all of that crap.
So unless you are going after really big power, like over 400rwhp, then IMHO these are a good way to go.
