pettit ecu ?????'s

i did a search and didnt really get what i was looking for. i also posted in the ECU forum and didnt get anything. questions as follows.
1)how exactly does the pettit unlimited work. as im reading i think i have to tell pettit what my mods are and they send me a chip for what i have. is this correct??? sounds like it can get pricey after a few chips. 50/chip.
2)how easy is it to use the power FC. or i should say, how complicated is it to use it. i know that over all its better than the PETTIT.
3)same question regarding haltech.

just general questions if you can help out. thanks fellow 7's

Pettit has 2 chips. Limited to 14.5psi and unlimited. I run the limited, your stock fuel system will not support over 14.5psi, you would have to run a fuel computer and larger/more injectors and fuel pump/lines to run higher psi.

BTW: I'm going single turbo, going to sell the ECU. E-Mail jeffshoots@hotmail if interested.

Later, Jeff

Hey Jeff, how much are you looking to sell your Pettit ECU for and whats it all tuned for? Its the limited chip??? Technically, how does that differ from the unlimited? Reply back, PM me or email me, thanks Jeff,

All Unlimited chips are the same and they cost $50 for both.

Actually there is no such thing as a 2 for $50 deal. You don't even need 2 chips. The Pettit ECU comes with the normal chip when ordered and that's good for all the upgrades and 14.7 psi of boost. Then if you decide you need more you can order the "unlimited" chip for $50 and that's the most you can get. It too handles all the upgrades, but has enough fuel for up to 17psi of boost. That's all that's to it. No multiple chips or anything else....

Maybe they changed it but I upgraded mine a few weeks ago to the Unlimited and got 2 chips, and the invoice said $25 per chip.

I have a Pettit ECU

You don't just get a chip mailed to you but you do get superchips. You have to mail in your whole computer, since supposedly not two are exactly alike. $800 sure beats $3000 on a engine rebuild but if you have $1500 get the Apexi and have it dyno tuned.

I already had a Pettit ECU and called them and said I wanted to get the unlimited chip, they mailed 2 chips to me and told me which one goes where. If you have a stock ecu, them you have to send it to them.
