Pettit Cool Charge III intercooler advice

Has anyone installed the new Pettit Cool Charge III intercooler? It looks like their older IC but this system includes a fan to force air through the IC. I was considering buying the original IC and then saw this new version. Where does the fan go? Is the fan controlled by a temperature switch or is it on all the time? Does the duct for the IC take air from the top part of the front nose opening or from some other place? Any fitment/installation problems? I already have the battery re-located and my air intake is similar to Pettit's and should fit. Any advice is welcomed.

or you could DIY for 1/3 of the price.

parts list:

+ 24"x12"x3.5", 2.5" Backward Inlets
+ 2.5" L-Bend Aluminum Pipe, Mandrel Bent Polished
+ 2.5" Air-Intake Aluminum Pipe, Mandrel Bent Polished
+ 2.5" Silicone Couplers
+ 2.50" Black Silicone 45 Degree Coupler
+ DIY Duct out of sheet aluminum approx $20, or get just the duct from pettit for $200.

If you want to add a fan:
+ 12" Low-Profile Electric Fan

Here's mine...I modified the end tank instead of using a 45 degree coupler though:

and this for when I added the fan:

i'm making mine and only spent about half the price of the CCIII. as for the fan you can wire it to run all the time or have it wired to a switch and you can turn it on or off as you wish. I believe tom (theorie) has his like this as well

wow that's awesome. I'd like to do this but I don't want to relocate the battery.

Awesome idea

Just out of interest, how did you mount the IC to the car? What mounting locations/brackets did you use?

I've looked at your cardomain links but can't see any info (apart from the first install without the duct) and you can't see how it's mounted by the pics because the duct's in the way.
