Pettit BPHF Twins?

Has anyone tried these rebuilt and upgraded twins from Pettit (see link)?

http://www.pettitracing.com/rx7/bphf.htm

I'm just curious as to how they compare with BNRs, the price is better than BNRs.

They don't compare with BNR's. They are basically slightly tweaked stock turbos. BNR's are completely different turbos. If you want the performance of BNR's, you are going to have to pay for BNR's.

i'd ask GoodfellaFD3S; he uses the BNRs and i'm sure he'd have some input for you...plus he's knocking 400rwhp using a sequential system

Rich is not using BNR's anymore. He switched to a single turbo. However, there are plenty of people around who can speak for the BNR turbos.

I had a set of Pettit High Flow turbo's several years ago. I didn't like them at all. They actually broke the shaft on one of the turbo's. As already stated, they are slightly tweaked stock turbo's.

Thanks for the replies, I'd given up this thread.

How long did the Pettit Twins last before the shaft broke? What boost levels were you running and what kind of HP were you getting out of them?

seems to me for the price of having the pettit twins done.. you might as well add 2-300 dollars more and get new twins that will allow you to boost more and still get a warranty.. thats my vote at least.. bnr's better in all areas.
