I bought a Pettit AST from a guy off the forum and he's sending it to me but said the cap is all messed up. Where can I get a new one? Preferrably the kind with the red pressure release lever. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's a standard cap that you can get at Advance or NAPA. Especially if you have the old cap you can take as an example.

 

i bought mine at a auto store.. actually mine came with a 13lb cap.. i just got a 16lb cap to replace it

Yeah you can get them at any auto parts store. I got mine from Discount Auto Parts. It's a Robertshaw Radiator Cap, part no. RSP-29. 16lbs is pretty harsh. You should only use that for racing. Stick with a 13lbs cap, it'll work fine.
