Peter Farrell Products?

hey guys..

I have just purchased a PFS Purple Management system from another member on the forum and thought maybe u guys can give me some insight. Good or bad, i'd like to hear your experiences with it.

I have an 94 Auto with the mods listed in my sig. I haven't installed the PFS yet. I know people hve their opinions about it so i'd like to hear what u have to say, cuz im gettin a lot of mixed opinions. The couple tings i like this over the PFC is that i wont have to get a boost control like u do with a pfc, cuz i can set the level i wanna run at. 1(10 psi), 2(12psi), 3(15psi). Any info and advice how i should this unit is greatly apprecited. Thanx a lot in advance

Hey Kenny,

The Power FC *does* control boost, and very well at that. A friend reports no spiking or creep and he's running 15psi w/open exhaust. I hope you got the PFS unit used for cheap....the Power FC is the ****

I do have a PFS catback and (after over two yrs of ownership) I still love it. Good quality, throaty tone, still shiny

Good or bad a piggyback system is about the only option you have with a automatic if you want to keep the "hold" button.

I'm sure it will do ok, if you got a deal on it I wouldnt worry about it unless you plan on major mods. At the min it should keep your engine from running lean. Also, to run 15psi your going to need more mods than the piggyback system so dont go over the 12psi setting. For 15 you need upgraded fuel pump, injectors, and intercooler. If you have those then disreguard what I said, if not dont run the 15psi setting.

Re: Peter Farrell Products?

i have a 93 touring with auto trans and was thinking of the peter farrell system too. (since its the only unit we can use with the auto trans and keep the hold feature). let me know how the system works and i'll start looking for a used one. my car is all stock but i will be adding a down pipe soon and dont want to rum lean or overboost. if anyone has a unit for sale for a good price let me know. i understand peter farrell is no longer selling this unit and (EFI "the maker of the unit" is no longer repairing them. so if its not working you can't get it fixed and your out the money you spent.

I've been usinga purple box for way longer than I care to admit. It is not the power fc but it gets the job done for the most part. You better hope that you have the updated pink9 software installed or it won't work worth a ****.
