That piece is THE most commonly broken FD part....ever.
Quite simply, it should NOT be used to pull the door shut.
Ever.

That said, there is no way to "tighten it back down", it has broken and will need to be repaired or replaced. Most all of us have fixed this at one time or another, there are numerous 'how to fix' threads out there.

Did you just recently notice it? Most likely...it was there before you bought it. Like bajaman said...it's a fairly common FD part that breaks easily while still half attached. Consider this "feature" a standard among FDs! LOL

I normally tell my new passengers at track events that the previous passenger just broke it at Turn 7....

To do any work on it the entire door panel has to come off. Which really isn't that difficult, just be careful when removing it to unplug to wires clipped into the back for the window switch, locks, etc before you go ripping the door panel away... A new passenger door handle is pricy, I just bought one a week ago from Ray. But sometimes you can fix it with some sneaky JB weld and a steady hand

Fixing it is not a problem. Do it right and do what I and other have done and reinforce the handle with fiberglass and resin...hell I even glassed in a piece of metal 'plumber's tape' when I fixed mine. I think I can lift my whole car by that door handle now...lol!

But if you aren't up to fixing it, there are often several for sale in the 'For Sale' section.

The glass with metal reinforcement is the best idea yet. I bet you don't even bother telling people not to use that handle now.

Heck, I'll probably reinforce mine before it breaks.
