Question Is this part on right (OMP)?

I have just started to teardown my 95 RX7 and as i was coming along i noticed a gap in the oil pump (i think) Is this right. this car is completey stock and has never been taken apart.

yes, don't worry about the gap, it's just how the front cover is machined and has nothing to seal in that area.

Yep, you're good. The OMP has an O-ring between it and the front cover that does the sealing.

If there was a leak there, there would be one BIG mess.

FWIW...that 'O' ring mentioned above that does the sealing is usually pretty flat when removed. So consider replacing it on re-assembly. They're not that expensive and a royal PITA to replace with the motor in the car.
