Painting intercooler piping?

ive seen this on a few 3rd gens already and was wondering if this is a really stupid idea. i mean, wouldnt you be keeping the pipes from expeling any heat? i dont really know thats why im throwing this out there for discussion.

Um....what are you talking about? You might want to be a little more clear.

The piping itself is probably not going to do anything other than soak in more heat, not let it escape, so painting it is probably GOOD if anything.

Turbo side pipe will radiate heat, throttle body side may absorb it. Either way it's not likely to be significant either way because of the small surface area.

Except It Made It Mixed Case, Which Is Perhaps Even More Annoying Than ALL CAPS.

Here's my ALL CAPS test, since I suspect it was the browser and not the forum:
ALL CAPS WENT TO THE MARKET.

The forum didn't do anything to my ALL CAPS comment, so I suspect the change was due to some new IE "feature" (I use Firefox).

Firefox sucks! Some of the core features on my business site don't work in Firefox : P Firefox is for the people that really want a Mac but can't bring themselves to shop in the special corner of the store, sorry Max

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe aluminum has an emmisivity of zero. If you have aluminum piping, painting will not do much of anything as far as heat goes, unless you anodize it. (Was thinking about doing this to my IC)

also off topic but firefox owns, IE has to many virus' and ****. I want to powdercoat mine black cus it would look hot and yes the little more surface area and texture it gets will radiate a tiny bit more heat. polishing on the other hand...
