P-PORT! Whos got one?

I'm pretty sure that an NA P-Port Motor is the way I wanna go, I just want some feedback from people who have on on there 13B. Anybody in here who knows alot about them or if you have one, would be a big help.

this is my friends block, just back from the builders a few weeks ago.
personally, being around PP's a lot (they are very very common in new zealand) I would say that you would be a lot better off with a large bridgeport and a turbo. PPs are very peaky engines, very very peaky engines.

Thats what I'm told, But I want to Rev like mad and I dont want a turbo anymore. Everyone dose the single conversion or keeps the twins. I want something different. This would make the car quick but not the fastest thing on the road and thats cool to me. I want it load, I want it to REV like crazy, and I want it to be an Awesome pain in the *** engine.....It'll be more fun that way.

Its not about revving like mad its about power delivery. A well built bridge will still rev to 11,000rpm - trust me.

I would suggest you make an international call to either kiwi-RE, rotamax, rx7-heaven or RE-Sinclaire in New Zealand and discuss what you are planning and thier advice, you will be quite surprised i think you will find.

PPorts may make big HP N/A, but they are hardly streetable. Driving in traffic with a 2000rpm idle, having to rev to 5k just to start seeing power...it's very inpractical unless your car never slows below 50mph

the idea of "streetable" is a very touchy subject here on RX7club. People have different opinions on that. Well if you decide to go Peripheral Port then do it! alot of people on this forum will try and stop you and discourage you. Yes, in New Zealand Peripheral Ports are quite common, and those companies that he named could give you some good advice.

As Far as "Streetable" goes....Who cares. Theres people out there that have the most insane builds and they drive them everywhere. If I take it on the street ever, It'll be a highway cruz so I'll be ok. Other than that the car will be driven on road courses all over the midwest for recreation.
