To own an FD?

Hey all! I'd like some good opinions on the FD cars. I have an 88 10AE TII right now, but, I been so very drawn towards getting the so sexy styled 3rd Gen.7 My question is, How is the FD in terms of reliability? I mean, I have heard that the FD is a little more problematic and fussy versus the FC, Is this true or false? Any common mechanical issues, flaws and bugs that come with the FD right out the factory? Or, another way to put it is.... If I were to go out and prospect an FD on the used market, what are all the critical key things to look out for besides general wear and tear. You know... issues unique and common to the FD. Thanks all.

Take a look at the stickie at the top of the 3rd gen forum... you will find all that info about reliability mods and such in the links provided in that thread... or if you do a search you will find your answers too. This is a question that is probably asked at least every other day.

Here are some links that tell you what some of the problems with FD's are, and the mods you should do right when or around when you just get the car. The second site also tells what to look for and what to do when buying an FD.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...threadid=68640

http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/reliabiltiy.htm

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...threadid=28002

These are just a few sites of info. Other people will have alot more information than this, but this is a start.

(To avoid any flames or random outbursts of anger, i suggest also using the search tool to find some answers. There are tons of threads regarding topics like this. Just helping ya out.)

This gets asked A LOT... like several times a day. Here's what people said to a guy looking for an FD yesterday:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=320127

People posted some useful links there. One probably points to the sticky thread, 3rd from the top of this section titled "Sticky: Newbies/Others Please use search / Useful Links"
