Are you viewing this through your stock temp gauge?

That is not normal, there's obviously a cooling problem you have to deal with. Is your system burped completely? Stock radiator? Underbelly tray?

How do you know its overheating?
Do you have an aftermarket temp gauge?
How hot is it getting?

i know what your talking about. when i climb hills, my temp rises from 190f to 210f. boost or no boost. but at the other side of the hill is a downhill and temps drop quickly to 185f. if your experiancing this, i think your just being paranoid.

i dont know why every keeps saying stock radiator this and that. if you upgrade your radiator it doesnt make your car run any cooler! the only reason to switch radiators is to get rid of the plastic end tanks.

fluidyne radiator, completely burped but that was about 6 months ago... haven't change coolant ever since

i dont know the road elevation, maybe around 30-45 degree
the only thing i found so far is the resevoir coolant at Low mark

and no I am viewing this through stock temperature gauge, I dont have aftermarket gauge
and as the temperature rise shown in the stock temperature gauge, I daresay around 10 - 15 degree elevation from normal temperature

the only thing i can STRONGLY suggest is an aftermarket temp gauge. you need to tap the sensor after the thermostat to get the best/ accurate reading. the stock temp gauge is unreliable and once you see the needle rise it is almost too late.

Hey,
I just went through this with my FD, so I get to be expert by suffering through it. I have a stock temp gauge and still stock on radiator. I've seen the temp slowly climb through the summer whether being hard or not on the car. I then blew the heater core hose and dumped all my fluid. Replaced the hose thinking that was the issue. 30 min later and I'm blowing all my new collant out of the reservoir. The thermostat is a pain in the *** to get to and I didn't want to do it, but it was worth the headache and cut up hands to get there. The gasket around the thermostat was all dry rotted and chewed up, so I basically was continuously cycling the radiator fluid with no cool down phase. Replaced the stock gasket and thermostat and she runs cool as ice. Beat the **** out of the car at Road America on a 4 mile course on a hot day and the temp stayed normal throughout. For what that is worth, hope it's helpful.

it's around 1 mile of 45 degree climb btw

i'll be getting aftermarket temp gauge as soon as possible
