is this overboosting?

I've done the non-seq setup and I've got my boost set to 10psi, now I floor the car through the gears -
1st gear doesnt seem to be much boost at all until about 3500k-4000k, 2nd gear the boost comes on about 2700 - 3000k and and goes through to 4500-5000k where the turbos seem to start struggling , 3rd gear the boost comes on about 2700-3000k and stays at 10psi right through to 4500 - 5000k and again the turbos feel like they loose a bit of power ( even though it stays on 10psi) and feel as though they are struggling to keep up with he engine ( RPMs) hence why I have to change gear at around 4500-5000k.

Is this an overboost problem?
or is it simply because my boost is set for 10psi therefore if I want it to rev up to say...6-8k I have to up the boost?

you should not lose top end power, if at all, it should be causing boost spikes due to the waste gate being overwhelmed. something else is wrong.

excatly what do you mean you set boost at 10 pounds? you have a profec B?

Just try driving it and revving to 7-7.5K RPM for a while. I don't think anything is wrong with the car, I think it is just your perception. When you reach peak boost, the car stops gaining torque, and torque starts to fall off around ~5K RPM.

For the sake of comparison, drive a friend's V8. They have fat torque down low but it drops off a lot as you rev it out. It feels somewhat backwards after driving an engine that doesn't have a lot of low end torque and has the peak at high RPM.
