over boosting even with avcr?
I have a non seq setup with all the blockoff plates but dont have the wastegate widened, m2 downpipe, rx7 store resonator, and rb dual tips. Ever since I changed over to non sequential and hooked up my avcr, my boost has been weird. I normally go 50% throttle even when i'm trying to go fast, rarely go higher than 70. BUt the boost has always been around .7 bar and sometimes even close to 1 bar. The boost is set up to be .65 bar. Any other reasons why it would overboost to 1bar? The avcr solenoid reading would show 20 if that helps. Thanks
Yep I once hooked up my boost controller and no matter what setting I had it on it still over boosted.
Turns out I hooked one hose up incorrectly...and thats all it took for the EBC not to function properly.

Not sure excactly how the avcr is connected, but if it is like most ebc units and you are overboosting, it is usually that the wastgate and/or prespool actuators are leaking where you capped them off (on the side opposite from the boost motor lines). The wastegate actuator needs pressure to open the wastegate. If it can't pressurize, you will overboost. Seems sort of counter-intuitive, but the default for a non-working wastegate actuator is uncontrollable full boost! A good test is to turn off the boost controller -- if all is working correctly, you should get 7 psi of boost before the wastegate opens.

I have the wastegate to "com" and one of the other to the charge pipe.
