ouch, rx-7 got hurt

basically to make a long story short, i spun out and sraped the front end up a little on my 93. the front bumber has two large scrapes prolly 2 sq inches on the lower part, and the black plastic piece under the bumper has gone to ****. i want to know if i should just touch up the scrapes with touch up paint, and replace the plastic piece, or take it to a body shop and have them work their magic for an arm and a leg.
any advice would be appreciated. and if anyone knows a good body shop in san diego, let me know. thanx

yea we want the long story

I would take it to a body shop and get them to fix it up for you.

okay, it was 5 in the morning, and i was driving home to visit my family from sdsu, and as i was getting on the freeway it had just started to rain. it was a 25 mph on ramp that i took at 30. no big deal right, thats second gear roughly 3 grand. as i was exiting the turn i guess i punched it and the wheels were not straight yet, and the road was extremely slippery. the car fish tailed back and forth and i lost control. if it werent 5 am, im sure it wouldnt have happened. but it did. i spun around and as i was going under a bridge getting on the freeway, the car slid up onto one of those cement slabs that are at like a 30 degree angle. i spun around on that and came to rest facing the wrong way on an on ramp, and with a scraped up baby. i should take it to a shop, and have it fixed, i just hope the alignment is ok, ill have to check that too. it could have been a lot worse, i could have slammed into something and done some real damage. i guess im lucky tho right. not so much.
thanx for the suggestion about asking in the west forum.

Really it's up to you if you will be able to live with touch up paint covering some deep scratches or not. I certainly wouldn't be able to. I'd take it right to a body shop and have it done the right way.

You are extremely lucky you did not hit something HARD! Please, don't punch it while the tires are turned, especially when it is raining. 2 of my friends have done this, one raining the other not, and one lost his car, the other caused $14k in damage when it rolled up on its side.

I think you should just get a new front bumper. The 99 Spec or C-Westin' front looks really good.
