Originwerks FD Nova 2 Headlights

After contemplating between the SGB Moonbeams and Rx-lights, I decided to go with these headlight after someone here recommended them to me. They arrived in just a little over a week. Mind you, they shipped from Norcal, I live in Socal.

First impression: they are nice. Lens/projector/led housing is 3D printed. Not sure how I feel about that long term. Also, the connection to the connectors could have been a little better, some exposed cables. I added electrical tape as precaution.

One of the mounting holes on the 3D printed housing was not perfectly align with the mounting hole of the headlight housing.

From the website's pictures, I wasn't actually sure if the headlights were sitting lower than stock headlight height, but they definitely are lower, hence the headlight controller. I am not a fan of "sleepy eye" headlights at all, with that being said, these do not resemble that. They actually look factory height because of the included shroud, but definitely are not.

No instructions were included, but it was pretty straightforward with the exception of the headlight controller. However, I contacted Originwerks for assistance and someone sent me a text with a video a few hours later. So that fixed the issue.

I haven't aimed or driven with them on yet. I will post more pics and updates in the next few days. I've included some pic I took, that's all I took since I got done past midnight. I would say the install can be done in less than 1 hour + headlight controller adjustment time (15min added). It all depends on where you mount the controllers and they silver box (ballast?). I added it behind the bumper so it added time. My install time took double that because I replaced the H4 connectors on the headlight harness.

*The last 3 pictures, the connector with the round rubber grommet, those are the replaced H4 connectors I did.

I did not take pictures of the final set up but since I will be taking off one of the headlight over later today, I'll take more pics and of the final install.
