Lightbulb Opinions for upgrades

Hey everyone. So my stock turbos are finally really starting to die (168000 miles). Yes that's right 168k. Anyway I'm getting a good set of '99 spec turbos.(other mods in my sig) I'm looking at upgrading the ecu to the Adaptronic. I also want to upgrade the fuel system. So new a new Nippondenso Fuel Pump and fuel rails/injectors.

Now my question about fuel I did find nice some nice info @ TurboRX7.com > Fuel System Facts towards the bottom I see that 3700cc/min is good for 405hp @ 85% and 475hp @100%. So my question is would running 850 pri and 1000 sec be just fine instead of the 550/1300 shown on the site.

I've been eyeing the injector dynamics 850's and 1000cc on RX7store.net. But which fuel rail should I look at getting?

Honestly I don't see myself shooting for 400hp. But I would rather play it safe and have the fuel available for boost spikes.

I've had all the reliability mods done for a long time and have not had many issues pop up. I'm still running the stock intercooler for now. I think next year I may just go the Vmount route.

Thanks for any insight you give!

Carl

Ya absolutely I could do that but, do I need to? That'll be what up to 5100cc/min good for what 500+ hp? I can understand future proofing the system in case I want more HP. Is that why your recommending the ID2000's?

Thanks

I'm getting the '99's for cheaper than the BNR's. I was thinking about it for years thou.

Ive read that 850 primaries are harder to tune with and that some people have problems with the bored out 1300s. Id do some more research on the 850s and 1300s

850 primaries are problematic when used with the PFC due to it's range in adjustability for the primary injectors. using other ECUs there is no problem with controlling them, as the PFC had a limited range in mind when they built the ECU so many years ago.

I understand your need to upgrade the fuel, but 550/1300 is good for stock turbos. I mean there isn't a whole lot of difference in the 99's. If you went to the bnr set as mentioned by another poster then I could see pushing more.

I had read that somewhere about the 850's and the PFC and also about the "bored out injectors" and that's why I posted that I wanted to run the Adaptronic ECU and run injector dynamics 850's pri and 1000 as sec. So far I had read good things about that ECU.

Like I said running that setup and ECU looks like it gives me a lot of room to play. Esp if I do decide to upgrade a little later.

I do have a street ported motor, intake and complete exhaust. So with the '99 turbos what HP am I looking at (300-350hp??) if anyone could clue me in a little. Maybe I'm over thinking the fuel?

Thanks
Carl
