Question Only runs right under electrical load?

Just installed fresh rebuild with large street port and 3mm seals. still on stock sequential twins with ported wastegate during break in.
Mods are DP, Resonated Mid pipe , and HKS super dragger, Hks intake, Ebay SMIC, and power FC.
Problem is: with no electrical load car idles and runs like ****; wont rev past 3000 rpm, bucks and backfires. But with lights and AC on, runs quite good. Boosts to 10 pounds will rev past 3000 rpm smooth all the way to 7000. (trying to break in gently). any help will be greatly appreciated.
Summers are short up here. a couple weeks to enjoy the car with hood down would be nice.

Do you have a Datalogit and wideband for your Power FC?

Grounding. I realize you are far from stock but there are well-documented problems with the stock electrical system/ECU that come from poor grounding. If you haven't added a couple of additional grounding straps, I'd suggest that. It is a quick, cheap, and easy thing to do.

Good luck!

With the stock ECU anyway the timing is advanced with the A/C on to compensate the idle. So is this related to A/C only or electrical only? Let's not confuse the two. I'm not even sure if the Power FC has this capability or not though. Just an idea of where to start.

All stock grounds have been cleaned up and additional 6 guage straps have been added to body and engine.
AC defog or headlights, any one or all of them on make the car drivable.

Are you using the same alternator with the same voltage regulator?

Yes, same alternator and regulator. I removed air pump power steering and AC compressor. If that matters.

I put the stock ecu back in to try and it runs perfect. which leads me to think the PFC is not getting adequate grounding, whereas the stock ecu gets grounded to the body when bolted into place.
I understand that the power FC is grounded through the harness. So I guess I should trace the ground through the harness and fix it. Does this make sense?
