only one rotor running?
only one rotor working. could it be a stuck corner seal or side seal? will find out sunday. 2 rebuilds in less than a year, sucks.

What kinda vacuum? What's it sound like at idle?
In my experience, side seals only stick on very fresh builds (too tight of a clearance) and on high mileage/high carbon motors. Corner seals seem to stick only after a healthy round of detonation, or contact with the iron due to a spun bearing.

vacuum bounces around 8-9. revs are at 650. as for how it sounds cant really describe it other than a really weak sounding motor. struggling to stay on.

i had 2 rebuilds in 12months....i feel your pain
did u do anything while driving the car that leads u 2 believe you broke a seal?
if u are sure it is only running on one rotor check the compression
if you are not sure check the maps sensor vacuum line
if compression is good. check for spark
if u have spark check the primary injector
if the injector is good. borrow a friends ecu and try it out
we have had some problems with a couple jdm cars up here running on one rotor. turns out the ecu was bad
good luck

just recently I would notice that one rotor would stick (not as violent just a little) I figured that the OMP is supplying enough to the rotors so I went back to premix and problem solved but yesterday while boosting got a red light, thru it into nuetral was in 4th about to drop to 3rd then the revs drop to 600-650 car trying to stay on vacuum bouncing between 8-9 barely moves.
checked the plugs all have spark.
checked the injectors clean.
will find out tommorow when I crack the bitch open.
really starting to hate this car, I give and give and give, and still treats me like crap.
I done with the rotary. gonna fix it and sell it if anyone is interested and in the Florida area.

first the turbos take a dump, went single, full stand alone, custom everything. (6 months) doing it all myself.
2 weeks after I tune it cracked the front plate, rebuild, raceport, (4 months) doing it myself.
a few weeks into the break in tranny takes a ****. get a 99spec tranny.
finish the break in, tune it. NEXT day the whole map on the microtech screws up.
took 2 weeks to get it to where I want it. a week later this symptom starts and like I said before premix and drive it around a bit it clears up.
and this is not counting the overheating issues and various others I didnt mention.
dont get me wrong the car is gr8 the few good times I've had with it but, more Bad than good.unfortunetely.

don't give up on her so quick, it may be something really simple. they are really fun cars once you get them running right, but they also require alot of attention and alot of preventive maintenance! hope it is something simple and we can see you the next time we all go to the track.

no disrespect paps, but I have had the car for almost 3 years and it has spent more time parked in my driveway than on the road. I have probably driven it for a total of 3-4 months in 3 years. thats just wrong. I have giving it chances over and over again. and kept believing it would work out. spent thousands of dollars not counting if I had gone to a mechanic who would have raped me.
And you are right it is fun to drive but like I said before, have had more bad times with it than good.

Will work for horsepower
Only you know how far you can ride the horse! Im 30+ into it and dont see any way out so ill keep it but i dont have a wife and the kids are grown . If nothing else get a secound gen. and tear it up they can be had cheap and without near as many tears. Some of the most fun ive had has been spending 800.oo and taking it to the track, not as fast but not so much money. Any way best of luck what ever you do!

You are dead on with the more bad than good. Im soo lucky i havent experienced the problems you went through, which im sorry you did go through, but there have been little problems here and there in the past that would make the car sit rather than be driving. Its also the fact that i rather drive it less because i believe the more you drive it, you're more at risk of something breaking. That may not be the case for most people/cars but for an FD, yes.
My suggestion is try one more time, go back to stock, or i mean with the twins, do the basic bolt ons and enjoy. Or if you are really a HP guy, go with another car, you might have better luck.
