My car was running fine then all of the sudden it died on me i have traced it down to no fuel pressure in the lines and now when i jump the fuel pump my gauge is only showing 5 psi of fuel. I can hear the pump come on. Could my fuel pressure regulator have gone bad?, or maybe the line on the pump split in the tank or something?? I have a supra pump, sx regulator, -6 lines from tank and back.

it sounds like you have already narrowed down the problem to 1 place to look but I would check the volume of the pump and then plug the return line to check the gauge.after that its time to work on the pump assembly in the tank

 

Has the Fuel Filter been changed?? It may be clogged??

 

I just put in a new filter. I dont think it is that unless it colapsed on me.

 

id check to see if the pump fell off its pearch (sounds weird but i have seen it before). also, even wiht the fpr going nuts, it should still give you like at least 20psi right? in anycase, id take out the fuel pump and put it in some water and jump it with an extra battery to see if it was really shooting out 5psi of pressure. becareful though, you dont wanna get shocked...
