Only 112-114 MPH w/streetport

Last year I had got a 12.15 @ 114 mph.
On stock engine with usual mods: ECU/IC/Full Exhaust/
intake/crane hi-6/act pressure plate/rps disc/4.3 gears/ect. running 15 psi of boost.

This year I got about the same mph 112 - 114 mph.
And about the same ET's. With the Streetport and Ported wastegate.

Haven't changed anything else, but still running the same MPH. This tells me that I have the same amount of power as last year. I was told that a Streetport will
give about 40 - 50 HP...

Where is my power? My shift points are slightly higher than non-streetported around 7500 rpm. Lot of guys on the forum get 117 - 119 MPH with the same mods that I have.

thanks for the replies.

I can't say that I know exactly what the problem is and why you can't seem to run faster, but I can tell you this. With a streetport you need to turn more RPM to get the power out of the motor. I have a streetport and I can tell you that mine pulls a lot harder on the top end of each gear and definately helped my quarter time. I guess it could have to do with how radical your streetport was. There is a mild streetport and then there is what I got which was a bit more radical. All I can say is to maybe run your car right to 8000 RPM in 1st and 2nd gear and see if that helps. The car may also be traction limited and probably will get significantly quicker with slicks if you aren't running them already. Just trying to help. I would like to know how this turns out so keep us posted.

racer rx - did you make any tuning changes in your ECU between your stock ported motor and street ported motor? If not, I imagine you can pull that hiding 40 - 50 hp out...

I have used M and H racemaster tires this year...
Next year I already have MT ET streets. But the 60 fts times were about the same as last year.

I have the Pettit ECU. Not sure how to pull that extra 40 - 50 HP out? Explain please... You probally mean Air/fuel mistures right?
