I went home on leave, and while there my dad confessed to putting 90 octane in my car. He is keeping it while I'm in the marines. I jumped his *** and told him never to do that **** again. He's such a cheap ***. I don't think there was any adverse effects. Scared the **** out of me.

 

Take the keys next time you leave.

 

Tell him to give you a $3000.00 deposit to cover a new engine, or choke off the extra 10 cents a gallon for premium.

 

Now tell him to spend $5 more for the octane boost.

Main thing, tell him not to maintain high boost. It'll run fine even with 87 as long as it's not taken into boost.

I don't like taking chances. The highest we get is 92. My 17 year old brother is now the caretaker. He's scared to drive it, so I think it'll be okay.

I let him drive it with me in the passengers seat. He shifts at 3K or 3.5K everytime. I wish I could stand to drive like him.

When i fill up i usualy try to make it at a Chevron or Petro Canada.

Y is it that california has only 91?

just out of curiosity, what problems will a car have with 87 octane with 10psi for about a year???? i was arguing with someone but couldnt think of long term reasons
