Chris and Ari over at www.RX7.com have been in business since 1988, and out of all the people I deal with I respect their opinion the most. They recommend 20w50 for 'hot weather' climates, out in texas they recommend it year-round. This is to keep the bearings happy, and of course you want to let the motor warm up fully before high rpm use.
There's really no concrete blanket answer, but for a single turbo car in the northeast (which coincidentally I happen to own an example of, lol) I recommend 10w30 in the winters and 20w50 otherwise.
