I would say definitely not. 20w50 is what I've been told for many years by those 'in the know.'

That really depends on your oil cooling. If you are just using the stock single oil cooler, I would suggest no. I would recommend 10w30.

I suppose I should elaborate on my answer .

Chris and Ari over at www.RX7.com have been in business since 1988, and out of all the people I deal with I respect their opinion the most. They recommend 20w50 for 'hot weather' climates, out in texas they recommend it year-round. This is to keep the bearings happy, and of course you want to let the motor warm up fully before high rpm use.

There's really no concrete blanket answer, but for a single turbo car in the northeast (which coincidentally I happen to own an example of, lol) I recommend 10w30 in the winters and 20w50 otherwise.
