Heres a little about my " little " project. So long story short, im dumb and reverse polarity smoked my power FC, after a little saving i bought another one and got it remapped as SBG still had my tune ( Huge shout out to them btw ) got it in the mail today, reinstalled the newly flashed PFC and it is now still showing the " Communication Error " and will not start, crank but no actual running. im sure i messed something up somewhere, ground somewhere maybe?? i replaced the main 120A fuse as that popped when i made my running for the rookie of the year award. Does anyone have any thoughts to what it may be?? Thanks a ton in advance, guys

Where is it saying communication error?
Unfortunately you may have to go bit by bit through your electrical system, possible that you have other fuses blown or possible melted wires or something.

on the commander, and that's what I kind of figured, I'm gunna go through everything with my meter today after work. Hopefully something little and simple. Thanks for the reply dale!
If the Commander is saying that it just means the Commander can't talk to the PFC for some reason. May want to check to see if the pins are all good on the end of the commander and it's plugged in well.
Had a buddy with a PFC who couldn't get the commander to work, turned out the little square hole in the PowerFC in the middle of the pins had a broken off square peg from some other commander. He picked that out and everything worked fine.
Also if you have a Datalogit you may want to remove that and have just the commander plugged in. Then you can look at the sensor check screen and see if something isn't reporting.
If the commander is lighting up that at least tells you that the ECU is getting power and is powering up the commander so that's good.

Broken Wire
I had my commander go out two years ago and it said communications error on the screen. In my case it was a small broken wire at the base of the commander as it extended to a small circuit board. Unscrew the commander, take off the cover, and trace each of the small wires at the base to make sure one is not broken or see if the solder connection has failed. If so, just resolder the connection or splice the small wire. If not that, remember the newer OLED commander does not work with the older version Power FC.
