Ok, Auto > 5 speed walktrough

I'm looking for a 3rd gen auto to 5 speed swap walktrough. Just the basics and what you have to look for when you are doing the swap and the parts you need, like supports and gaskets and such. I know I've been searching every now and then in the past 2-3 months and never found what I was looking for. Most of the links about the subjects are dead and wont get me far into this. Could anyone gimme a hand?

thanks

well you need 5 speed tranny (preferably a 94-95 ), drive shaft , rear end (optional) cluster (optional) clutch pedal assembly. brake pedal, clutch lines (slave cylinder and so on) ,5 speed ecu, 5 speed starter. might want to put a new clutch and light weight flywheel while all the stuff is out or at least make sure the stock flywheel doesnt need to get resurfaced if your gona use that. that might be it but i have the feeling im forgeting something.

Can anyone answer me this question thats been hurting me for a while now from doing this? Do the holes and threads for the manual crossmembers and supports on the car's shell? (frame) Can I purchase de peices directly from the person selling me the parts with the supports and everything will fit good?

thx

I was thinking about something. Since the starter isnt the same as the AT one, does that mean I have to change the black plate of the motor? Is it tough to do ? Do i have to get the motor out?

you don't have to change the plate. there will be an extra hole. but it's fine. and there's also some electrical stuff that you have to do.

It is the Electrical wiring changes that stumps most folks - I am going thru my second conversion right now on the MBM project. Currently the engine bay is stripped out
