Oil temp & pressure gauges install

Hi everyone,
Just got myself a dual centre speaker gauge pod, oil temp gauge and additional oil pressure gauge.
Has anyone fitted similar items and how/where did you connect the temp sender and pressure switch thingymebob?

I know that you can buy a greddy plate that goes between the oil filter and its mounting plate but was after a more simplistic way.

I was thinking of drilling and tapping out the banjo bolt the feeds the oil (just under the oil filter) and mounting my temp sender there....... what do you guys think

Cheers

That would be a bad idea. There isn't enough room in the bolt for the sensor AND the oil flow. The whole just isn't that big.

If you want to do this then get the plate adapter.

Yeah. That's the most simplistic way. You just screw it down and you're done. It's has 3 fittings on it too, so if you wanted something else (though I can't imagine what) you would have a place to put it.

For your oil temp gauge, VDO makes a sender that replaces the oil drain plug. No drilling, no tapping. Just remove the old drain plug, and put in the new one. It has a male spade connector on it, so you just snap on a female connector to your gauge wire, and its done.

You will need to make sure that the VDO sender is compatible with your gauge.
