heater hose in/out?

is there an in and out to the heater core line from the engine bay. for example, when looking at the engine bay, is the top line in and the bottom line out? i am guessing it doesn't matter since it is pumped from the engine, but i just want to make sure.

I don't know what if there is a significant impact, but on my '95 FD the top line connects with a short hose that makes about 120 degree bend and attaches to the pipe running behind the UIM. This pipe leads over to another hose and the quick-disconnect fitting by the spark plugs.

The lower line runs forward along and under the turbos and if I remimber correctly connects to the water pump.

The top hole is the feed hole for the DRIVERS side heater hose. The one with the quick disconnect on it going into the plate by the spark plugs.

The bottom hole is the feed"IN" line that is coming from the lower water pump neck.

The hoses will not reach the other places corrctly. Not to mention any flow problems you may run into if any.

trhe lower hose has a "dog leg" bend in it. The upper as stated is a sharp bend to the firewall hard line.

well the problem is...there isn't a 13b in the car any longer. so the stock hoses and bends aren't being used. i was just looking for what line has the fluid flow FROM the engine into the firewall.
