Oil temp gauga as water temp gauge?

I have a autometer oil temp gauge~
I just wondering if I can use the oil temp gauge as a water temp gauge??
Caz oil temp gauge is not a must while water temp gauge is~

should be the same. The Greddy temperature gauge is the same product number for oil and water.

It should work. Just make sure that the sender is long enought to get in the flow of your coolant.
