Talking oil swap

my friend just bought a '94 and the guy has been running synthetic, is it ok for him to switch it to good old dinosaur oil ? or will it mess something up ?

Yeah people always argue over synthetic or non-syn issue. Me and a bunch of other people I'm sure have noticed lower degrees in temperature with synthetic. Even if its just one or two degrees... it's STILL a difference.

There's no harm in switching back to dino oil from synthetic, to answer the original question.

Personally, I run a good grade of "regular" oil (Castrol GTX) and change often. I've never seen enough benefit to running synthetic to justify the higher price. You'll blow an apex seal or pop a water seal LONG before you have enough bearing wear to cause a problem.
