Oil pressure warning light question

I was driving on the highway to work and I noticed oil pressure warning light came on at two seperate times for 3-5 seconds and then off. The oil pressure was around 60. Can this be a faulty sensor or some other problem? I'm also suspecting a faulty alternator because the other day the battery died all of a sudden and worked ok the next day.

I have the service manual pdf at home otherwise i'd look at the troubleshooting section but I'm at work now so any help would be appreicated.

Usually when the oil light comes on it means your low on oil.

Check your oil level on the dipstick. The red light on the gauge indicates low oil level.

I recommend making it a habit to check your engine oil every time you fill up with petrol, running out of oil on a rotary will destroy the entire engine...... makes detonation seem like a walk in the park

Lucky I didn't push the car on the way. I added more then 1 litre of oil. I guess it's about time to make it a habit to check the oil level like you said.
