Oil pressure sending unit?

Yes, i just bought a 93 3rd gen, i noticed when i bought the car that it had really low oil pressure at idle...i've heard that this is a common problem and that it can be fixed by replacing the stock sending unit with a better aftermarket one...has anyone else had this problem or heard of it...and where can i get a better sending unit.
thanks.

Usually you dont even need to replace the oil pressure sending unit. They tend to get gunked up with crud which makes the reading inaccurate. Happens to everyone. Try cleaning up the connection/exposed wire with a wire brush before going to the Mazda dealer to get a replacement.

You can spray carb cleaner in there to get the gunk out also
