oil pressure...searched

After doing some research i still cant find my answer. My question is that, am i able to tap into the stock oil pedastool for my oil pressure gauge? After looking at it, there doesnt seem like much room to do so..

And i know there was a group buy for an aftermarket pedastool for the fd's and stuff..but if im able to do it to my stock one, thats what im going to go...

So anyone have any ideas to whether im right about tapping the stock pedastool?

Depending on how long your sensor is, you may or may not be able to do that. From the sensors I've seen, it wouldn't work on the stock pedstal.

You might consider drilling and tapping the banjo bolt for the oil cooler line, others have done that for oil temp senders.

well this isnt for a temp sensor, its for a pressure sensor, which i think is different ?

But would tapping the banjo bolt do me any harm? Or should i just break down and buy the oil predastool from the group buy thing that ended a while ago

and here is another pic of mine with temp sensor, https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/new-oil-temp-gauge-how-what-where-499524/
I haven't check it for clearence on a pressure sensor seeing they are BIG. I have and auto meter one I am about to install. I will take pix and post.

Yeah, i already found those threads, but just can't find where to get it now. But i emailed MRCMFG and they said they'll be making more of them mid-month (February), and they'll keep my email and contact me when they have them finished. We'll see...

Thanks for the reply, sevensheaven. Keep us updated.

most aftermarket sensors are 1/8th NPT which is what the stock size sensor is, if you don't mind having the stock gauge dead you can just install the sensor there.
