Question Oil Pressure Question?

may sound dumb, tried searching, but how much oil presure is to much oil pressure I never had a working oil pressure gauge til I got my autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge, at idle i'm 45-50 i'm ok but when I start to drive it goes well over 100 and it only reads 0-100 and ges over 100 bad gauge or am I in trouble?

I don't think it is a dumb question, but then I pretty much don't know anything.

Today, with temperatures right around freezing, my FD's pressure went up to about 100 with throttle. It has 10W30 dino oil in it. FWIW.

I'm also curious for this answer.. I've got a Defi D-gauge in, but the wiring has been snapped at the sender since I got it (fuel lines rubbing I think) so I've only had the stock gauge to go off of. I'll really need to get another sensor one of these days..

High oil pressure isn't such a big deal as low oil pressure. Heck, some of the racers actually do modifications to increase oil pressure.

What you are seeing sounds fairly normal.
