I couldn't help myself!

I wanted to stay stock but, I see all of the cars on here owned by the top people on here that have very few problems if any, with lightly modded cars. I only have a dp now, but I just bought a Pfc, RB cb, and a boost gauge. My plan is to install the boost gauge. Then the catback, no wot. Then check out my boost. Then maybe a boost controller. The RX7store says I don't need a boost controller with the Pfc, but from what I have been told here, I may need one anyway. I will try the Pfc without a tune to see how she runs. O yea, I will be doing the Cheap Bastard intake. One thing at a time. Maintenance is all up to date. The milage is low. Am I going the right way? Would The car be more reliable with a tune instead of useing the base mod map from the Pfc?

Yes it is always the best idea to have the PFC specifically tuned for your car and your setup.

Thumbs up

Can't go wrong with a PFC, even with a semi stock 7.

it would be wise to get it tuned. the base map on the pfc is really just meant so you can install it yourself and be safe to drive it to where its getting tuned. and it would be smart to get a boost controler. the pfc has a boost controler option. but i have heard it works very poorly. keeping control of your boost is a must

you sound like me though. i was all for, keeping it stock. then i bought one part and then went crazy...

I would take her to Jason(rx7store) for the tune. That's where I bought the parts. Anybody have experience with them tuning with these mods? What can I expect?

PFC with base map will be fine for a car with 2 flow mods.
