Oil pressure Q??

When your on an idle what's your oil pressure reading at??

About 10-15psi indicated. Higher on fresh oil. On a very hot engine I sometimes see less than 10. Factory spec is measured at 3000rpm thats what matters. IMHO

Don't trust the factory oil press. gauge. I used to see probably a needle width above zero at idle on the factory gauge, even after cleaning the elec. contact. The problem is the stock pressure senders are failure prone. I switched to an autometer gauge. Cold idle is showing about 75psi at startup, hot is about 25-30psi.

oh thank god. I just changed my oil and after the oil would heat up, the oil needle looked like it was just a width above the zero. Just like you said. Is the fix to this problem to replace the sending unit?
